Peer Supporters

Clara Barry - Peer Supporter

Clara Barry

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, my name is Clara and I'm a second year TSM Economics and Spanish student. I like to read, I'm very interested in politics and I spend a lot of time hanging out in coffee shops with friends so I'm well acquainted with them! I got involved with S2S because being a sounding board for my friends is very important to me (and I'm told I'm good at it!) so I wanted to build on that to help fellow students whilst I was at it. Personally I've particular experiences of coming out and moving abroad, there's no issue you can't bring to Peer Support so if you feel a listening ear would be of use don't hesitate.

Sarah Byrne - Peer Supporter

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi there, my name is Sarah and Iím a 21 year old third year Psychology student (this doesnít mean Iíll read your mind, not at all!). I joined peer support because Iíd really love to help, because my friends tell me that Iím a good listener and most of all because I, like everyone, know how it feels to just need somebody to talk to. Iím originally from Co. Wexford and although Iím not very sporty I really love the outdoors. My two great loves are animals (see my wonderful cat Tiddles in my photo!) and juice and in my spare time I also really enjoy cooking. Please donít hesitate to get in touch if you need an open and non-judgemental listening ear. I understand the courage it takes to open up to someone so if that person were me I would do my very best to help in any way I can.

Ńine Clarke - Peer Supporter

Ńine Clarke

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

My name is Ńine I'm a 3rd year Occupational Therapy student and self confessed culchie/farmerís daughter from the wee county of Louth. My life basically consists of socialising with friends, college, drawing, singing, wasting time on the internet and watching far too many episodes of ĎFriendsí. I became a peer supporter with the overall aim of helping people. Not only have I achieved this but Iíve also learned loads, met some fantastic people and had a lot of fun and laughs along the way. Iím here for anyone that wants to talk. Nothing is too big or too small so get in touch if you feel like a chat! (any excuse to fuel my coffee shop addiction).

Emily Daniels - Peer Supporter

Emily Daniels

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, my name is Emily. I'm a postgrad student. I joined S2S to have a more active part in college and to be a support to other students. So far I've had a great time being an S2S mentor and head mentor. This is my fourth year as a peer supporter. I am here to help.

Aisling Durkan - Peer Supporter

Aisling Durkan

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, my name is Aisling and I'm going into my second year of my PhD in the History of Art and Architecture Department. I've been in the college for almost seven years now, and have worked for the college, so I know the place like the back of my hand. During my time here I've seen people go through a lot of things, often almost completely on there own, and I think that being able to just vent about stuff and talk with someone who actually listens can be hugely helpful, so that's what I'm here for. You're welcome to talk about anything that's on your mind so please feel fee to contact me.

Christina Fitzsimons - Peer Supporter

Christina Fitzsimons

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi! My name is Christina and I'm a SS Genetics student. You'll probably find me floating around the Hamilton or anywhere on campus that sells caffeine. I joined S2S in order to help other students in anyway that I can and I think Peer Support offers a unique opportunity to talk to someone who is just like you. I'm always free to discuss anything at all, nothing is too small or big.

Liam Forbes - Peer Supporter

Liam Forbes

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, my name is Liam. I'm a third-year Philosophy student, and no stranger to existential crises. I'm an active member of DU Players, a huge fan of literature, film and sport. I'm originally from Portugal, and having started boarding school here at the age of 12, I have some experience in moving through tough transitions. I became involved in peer support because I want to give people the opportunity to talk over anything that may be giving them worry, whatever it might be. As well as English, I speak Portuguese and Spanish, so if you're worrying about language, I can help with those two at least! Whatever anyone needs to talk about, Peer Support is here for you.

Amy Gallagher - Peer Supporter

Amy Gallagher

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi! My nameís Amy and Iím a 4th year medical student from Clare. When Iím not on placement in hospital youíll find me on campus or tipping about Rathmines. I really love film and music (the juryís out on my taste in both) and I enjoy cooking to unwind. I really liked volunteering as a Mentor, and decided to become a Peer Supporter in order to hopefully ease some of the worries and stresses we all face as students. No matter how youíre finding college, I think that everybody benefits from having a listening ear and Iíd be really happy to chat about anything that may be playing on your mind- big, small or anywhere in between! Please do get in touch and I promise Iíll help you in any way that I can.

Michael Glynn - Peer Supporter

Michael Glynn

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hey! Iím Michael, and Iím a second year History and Politics student. Talking to someone can be such a great help for anyone going through any sort of difficulty. I will listen to you and support you in an open, respectful and non-judgemental way, as you deserve; this is your space. I fully appreciate the courage it takes for anyone to open up about anything (no matter how big or small it might seem). Other than Peer Supporting, Iím usually found running, watching the West Wing or enjoying memes (those of the classical art variety being my favourite!). I look forward to meeting you :)

Tamsin Greene Barker - Peer Supporter

Tamsin Greene Barker

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, my name is Tamsin. I'm 21 years old. I am in my Junior Sophister year studying Politics, Philosophy, Economics and Sociology. I enjoy dancing, acting and musical theatre. I may or may not have been in Game of Thrones. Available with or without glasses but freckles are non-negotiable. I love chocolate and red skittles. College life can be difficult but I find that talking helps. I became a peer supporter because we all struggle sometimes. If i can help someone even just a little, it helps me to feel positive. Being able to ask for help when you need it is not a weakness, it's a strength, so please get in touch - I'm here to help in anyway that I can.

Sarah Keane - Peer Supporter

Sarah Keane

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi there! My name is Sarah and I'm a 22 year old final year BESS student from Co.Mayo who spent the last year on Erasmus in The Netherlands. I'm a self confessed tea, chocolate and travel addict. I love singing and songwriting and you'll often see me with a guitar on my back! It is inevitable that everyone needs to talk to someone now and again, so if there is anything on your mind that you just want to let out, remember that nothing is ever to big or small and I am happy to listen!

Rachel Knight - Peer Supporter

Rachel Knight

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, I'm Rachel and I'm a third year Psychology student (please don't ask me if I can read your mind!). When I'm not in college or working my part time job as a barista, I love playing my guitar, spending unacceptable amounts of time on Tumblr, oh... and Im totally addicted to the gym. Before living in Ireland, I lived in both England and France, so I completely understand what its like to feel a bit out of your depth or like life is getting a bit overwhelming! College can be a really tough time for some people, and this made me eager to join peer support and see if I could help in some way. If you ever want to chat about anything that's on your mind, I'm here for you, so please get in touch!

Hester Malin - Peer Supporter

Hester Malin

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hey! I'm Hester and I'm a 2nd Year English Studies student. I moved over to Dublin from England and can really empathise with the whole (chaotic) process! I didn't know a soul when I moved over so I'm always available to chat about that. I think its really important to be able to talk about everything that goes on for college students- especially things that you might not want to talk to your tutor about! So if you have any issues about sexual health or drugs then I can definitely lend an ear. I became a peer supporter to perhaps provide the support that tutors or other older people in college can't provide, so please don't hesitate to get in touch for a chat about anything you like.

Aifric McArdle - Peer Supporter

Aifric McArdle

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hello, my name is Aifric and I'm a 3rd year Psychology student. I love terrible reality tv and also forcing my friends to look at photos of my dog. I've been off-books two separate times so I know a bit about the process and what its like to have a break in your studies. S2S peer support is a great way to talk about anything thats going on though, and I am always interested in meeting for a tea or coffee and a chat!

Anne Moroux - Peer Supporter

Anne Moroux

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi there! My name is Anne and I'm a fourth-year TSM English and German student. I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but I'm also half French, and I only moved to Ireland for college - safe to say I know a thing or two about being an international student! I've experienced a fair few crises foreign students are confronted with (from language barriers to homesickness to actual physical homelessness), and I am very happy to share my 'knowledge' with fellow internationals, as I know how isolating it can be to live so far away from home. I'm also interested in queer issues, especially concerning (a)sexuality: you are not alone if you feel rather alienated when you're being showered with condoms in Trinity. And finally, of course I have many bizarre hobbies such as birdwatching, stargazing and other things that make my friends say 'Anne... really?!' I'm always up to chat about anything that's on your mind so please don't hesitate to get in touch with me or my fellow Peer Supporters!

Lorcan O'Byrne - Peer Supporter

Lorcan O'Byrne

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

I'm Lorcan: 6 foot 6, 20 year old, Senior Freshman Science student. I'm obsessed with TV, Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie and I'm unashamedly addicted to the library. If I'm not at council, or volunteering with VTP, I will be going out, getting involved, having craic and meeting new people. I joined S2S so I could make a change, no matter how big or small. We all struggle. We all stumble. We all fall. You don't have to pick yourself up alone. We are here to listen, here to chat, here to share - We are here to help. Look forward to meeting you.

Abigail Odekeye - Peer Supporter

Abigail Odekeye

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi there, Abigail here (but please call me Abi) I'm a 4th year human health and disease student. I'm from Nigeria but have lived in Ireland for over 11 years now ( I'm practically Irish). According to popular opinion I am a relatively friendly and easy going person person, I love to sing and am part of a huge family called African gospel Choir. Have a shameful addiction to The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. (Yes I'm one of those and i'll proudly admit it :D ). I joined S2S because knowing that I can be there for someone gives me joy. It lets me know that no matter how much we struggle, we're never alone. People also say I'm a good listener.....not to brag or anything. If ever you're in need of a friendly face with a sometimes overly enthusiastic smile, I'm your girl. Just as our Peer Support family are there for each other, we're also here for you.

Bernard O'Hanlon - Peer Supporter

Bernard O'Hanlon

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Well, how are things? My name is Bernard and Iím a Junior Sophister Pharmacy student who has way too many pairs of Vans and a strange love for pineapples. I love Trinity, from the excellent services it offers to the great people one gets to meet here. But from time to time, I, and every other student, can find it all a bit too much and sometimes I simply need to unwind. For this reason I have developed a knack for finding some of Dublinís best coffee shops. So if you feel like a chat or even just some excellent coffee, Iím always available to meet up and talk about everything and anything.

Emma Purser - Peer Supporter

Emma Purser

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Heya! Iím Emma, final year World Religions and Theology Student. If Iím not in my 4 hours of lectures youíll probably find me in the Student Kitchen in House 6 (Live for that Bean Bag) or drinking free tea in the QSoc Committee Room. My hobbies include being an SU Hack, unironically using the phrase YAASS, procrastinating, PrHomo, Mamaís Revenge, brown leather dubes, Cats and more seriously Politics, Equality and Inclusion. I know how hard it can be to settle into college and try juggle lectures, assignments, making friends, joining societies, getting your bearings and finding time for yourself. That is why I became a peer supporter I want to be someone who can give you a hand up or a hand out,be a listening ear or someone that you can just rant to in a safe, confidential, non judgemental space.

Fionn Ryan - Peer Supporter

Fionn Ryan

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi all, my nameís Fionn Ryan and Iím a second year law student here in Trinity. Iím from the back end of Ireland in a delightful wee county called Leitrim. I love all things sport (other than cricket), and if Iím not throwing shapes in Palace helping out with the VTP or the SMF. Iím often the person that my friends come to if they need a chat, simply because Iím a good listener. Thatís why I became a peer supporter; if I can listen to my friends and be of some help, I can do the same for my peers. So if youíre looking for a chat about whatís going on in your life, Iím here; ears open with a cup of coffee at hand.

Mary Anne Stritch - Peer Supporter

Mary Anne Stritch

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hello! My name is Mary Anne and I'm in my fourth year of Radiation Therapy. I'm usually in lectures out on the St James's campus though you can find me on campus too. This is my third year being involved with S2S. I'm from Cork so I know what it's like to live away from home for college and not know many people moving up. I also have a lot of placement in my course so I understand how stressful it can be to balance personal life in college, at home, academics and placement all at once. I became a peer supporter because I know how helpful it can be to talk to someone when life feels stressful. I absolutely love tea and chats and can always make time for them. So don't be a stranger when you need a listening ear.
