Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hello! I'm a fourth year English Studies student from Boston. I'm sadly lacking a Boston accent, but I have other positive qualities to make up for that. I enjoying swimming, travelling, and copious amounts of sleeping. In my free time, I binge watch a lot of Netflix and spend too much money on deliveroo. More importantly, I'm always up for a chat on anything from fashion to the apocalypse or anything in between.

Logan Arnold - Peer Supporter

Logan Arnold

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi there! My name is Logan and I'm a third year General Science Student! I love writing blurbs, generic introductions and putting things in parentheses apparently (just wait). You'll frequently find me talking about how being a class rep was the best thing that ever happened to me (heh), proselytising (nice word, Logan - that'll impress 'em) the **** out of meditation and getting preachy about vegetarianism even though I only stopped eating meat like two weeks ago, while simultaneously scolding people for calling me vegetarian because labels are a curse. As much fun as college, and I guess life (woah), can be - I know that it can also be really tough at times. But having people to talk to when things get bad is something that has helped me tremendously and I hope it's something I could do for you too.

Clara Barry - Peer Supporter

Clara Barry

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, my name is Clara and I'm a third year TSM Economics and Spanish student. I like to read, I'm very interested in politics and I spend a lot of time hanging out in coffee shops with friends so I'm well acquainted with them! I got involved with S2S because being a sounding board for my friends is very important to me (and I'm told I'm good at it!) so I wanted to build on that to help fellow students whilst I was at it. Personally I've particular experiences of coming out and moving abroad, there's no issue you can't bring to Peer Support so if you feel a listening ear would be of use don't hesitate.

Cormac Begley - Peer Supporter

Cormac Begley

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi! My name is Cormac and I'm a fourth year Psychology student from a small village in South Armagh. Some of my interests include politics, learning Irish and offering non-judgemental peer support. Being a student from the North, I know how disorientating studying in Trinity can be for students living far from Dublin. I spent my third year studying abroad in Belgium on Erasmus so I got a taste of the international student experience too! My goal in life is to someday be a qualified psychologist so I see peer support as both an opportunity to help students on their journey through college and develop my own personal growth too. I've been on both sides of the (coffee) table so I know just how valuable peer support can be. It's true what they say, a problem shared is a problem halved!

Sarah Byrne - Peer Supporter

Sarah Byrne

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi there, my name is Sarah and I'm a 22 year old fourth year Psychology student (this doesn't mean I'll read your mind, not at all!). I joined peer support because I'd really love to help, because my friends tell me that I'm a good listener and most of all because I, like everyone, know how it feels to just need somebody to talk to. I'm originally from Co. Wexford and although I'm not very sporty I really love the outdoors. My two great loves are animals (see my wonderful cat Tiddles in my photo!) and juice and in my spare time I also really enjoy cooking. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you need an open and non-judgemental listening ear. I understand the courage it takes to open up to someone so if that person were me I would do my very best to help in any way I can.

Czara Casey - Peer Supporter

Czara Casey

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hiya! My name's Czara and I'm a third year Psychology and English Literature student. My interests include meditation, art, reading. I became a Peer Supporter because I know how frustrating it can feel to have so much on your mind and feel like you have no outlet to express it. Listening is one of my strong suits and I would love to provide a non-judgemental ear to anyone who needs support, no matter how big or small the problem may seem!

Kyle Chambers - Peer Supporter

Kyle Chambers

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hey guys! I'm Kyle and I'm a final year History of Art and Architecture student. I have so many interests that I use to procrastinate from studying but mainly I love drawing, lgbt+ activism, singing off key to musicals and drinking a worrying amount of tea! I became a Peer Supporter because I know college can be difficult sometimes and it's always great to have a friendly face to chat to (and I've been told I have a friendly face). Peace out friends xoxo.

Pranav Darshan - Peer Supporter

I'm a third year History and Political Science science student from India. Lived in Canada for a bit and spend most of my time reading, gaming, occasional exercising (occasional being the keyword) and nerding put over star wars and DCEU(I'm the odd one that liked Batman v Superman). I speak Hindi and English and some Klingon and travel when I'm not studying European Wars and International Relations.

Aaron Donnelly Howlin

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi! I'm Aaron and I'm a second year Human Health and Disease student. I'm from a little town in Wexford called Killanne. You probably haven't heard of it but there's a rebel song about it (like a lot of places in Ireland). I spend most of my time reading, gaming, getting outdoors and taking photos of anything that catches my eye, oh and making neurones change shape, yeah they can do that! I'm so excited to be involved with the Peer Support service and I'll do my best to help in any way I can!

Aisling Durkan - Peer Supporter

Aisling Durkan

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, my name is Aisling and I'm going into my third year of my PhD in the History of Art and Architecture Department. I've been in the college for almost eight years now, and have worked for the college, so I know the place like the back of my hand. During my time here I've seen people go through a lot of things, often almost completely on there own, and I think that being able to just vent about stuff and talk with someone who actually listens can be hugely helpful, so that's what I'm here for. You're welcome to talk about anything that's on your mind so please feel fee to contact me.

Liam Forbes - Peer Supporter

Liam Forbes

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, my name is Liam. I'm a third-year Philosophy student, and no stranger to existential crises. I'm an active member of DU Players, a huge fan of literature, film and sport. I'm originally from Portugal, and having started boarding school here at the age of 12, I have some experience in moving through tough transitions. I became involved in peer support because I want to give people the opportunity to talk over anything that may be giving them worry, whatever it might be. As well as English, I speak Portuguese and Spanish, so if you're worrying about language, I can help with those two at least! Whatever anyone needs to talk about, Peer Support is here for you.

HAnnah GAden Gilmartin - Peer Supporter

Hannah Gaden Gilmartin

Michael Glynn - Peer Supporter

Michael Glynn

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hey, I'm Michael and I'm a Science student. I started Peer Support in the 2016/17 academic year, and I've found the experience extremely rewarding. I understand how beneficial talking to someone can be for anyone going through any sort of difficulty, and I'll always do my best to listen to you and support you in an open, respectful and non-judgemental way - this is your space. It takes a lot of courage for someone to open up about something that might be bothering them, no matter how big or small it might seem. As for areas of experience that might be of particular help to some students, I have experience going off books and transferring course (I moved to Science from History and Political Science in my second year). Of course, I'm just as open to talking about any other sort of issue that you might have. Other than Peer Supporting, I'm usually found doing other S2S stuff, running, watching Lord of the Rings or enjoying memes! Looking forward to meeting you :)

Tamsin Greene Barker - Peer Supporter

Tamsin Greene Barker

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, my name is Tamsin. I'm 22 years old. I am in my Senior Sophister year studying Politics, Philosophy, Economics and Sociology. I enjoy dancing, acting and musical theatre. I may or may not have been in Game of Thrones. Available with or without glasses but freckles are non-negotiable. I love chocolate and red skittles. College life can be difficult but I find that talking helps. I became a peer supporter because we all struggle sometimes. If i can help someone even just a little, it helps me to feel positive. Being able to ask for help when you need it is not a weakness, it's a strength, so please get in touch - I'm here to help in anyway that I can.

Luke Hannigan - Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Heya, I'm Luke! I'm a Senior Freshman Science student and the proud guardian of two Jack Russell Terriers, Hops and Barley. I have personal experience with coming out and other LGBT issues, but whatever you want to talk about, it's welcomed with S2S. Also I've been told I have a calming voice so that's definitely a bonus.

Ross Hunter - Peer Supporter

Marta Jurczak - Peer Supporter

Marta Jurczak

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi! My name is Marta and I'm a final year History and Politics student. I’m passionate about travelling and reading, and wish there was a career where I could be doing just that! I spent the last year on exchange in Tokyo, which was a fascinating, if an intense experience. I moved to Ireland from Poland 3 years ago to study, and I understand how having to settle in a foreign environment can be a difficult experience. I'm here for you if you ever want to talk, regardless of how small you might think it is.

Megan Kelly - Peer Supporter

Megan Kelly

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hey all, they say it's nice to put a face to a name so here's my face and I'm Megan. I'm a third year here in trinity studying speech and language therapy so I'm well up for the chat or just to listen. Im a product of Dublin (i.e. born and bred.) Proud to say I'm a bookwork and my ideal job would be a Netflix critic or food taster so that says a lot about me. I have experience with mental health but as I like to see myself as a social butterfly Im up to talk or listen to anything and everything. Thats me in a nutshell so feel free to send out a bat signal and get in touch.

Rachel Knight

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, I'm Rachel and I'm a third year Psychology student (please don't ask me if I can read your mind!). When I'm not in college or working my part time job as a barista, I love playing my guitar, spending unacceptable amounts of time on Tumblr, oh... and Im totally addicted to the gym. Before living in Ireland, I lived in both England and France, so I completely understand what its like to feel a bit out of your depth or like life is getting a bit overwhelming! College can be a really tough time for some people, and this made me eager to join peer support and see if I could help in some way. If you ever want to chat about anything that's on your mind, I'm here for you, so please get in touch!

Aifric McArdle - Peer Supporter

Aifric McArdle

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hello, my name is Aifric and I'm a 4th year Psychology student. I love terrible reality tv and also forcing my friends to look at photos of my dog. I've been off-books two separate times so I know a bit about the process and what its like to have a break in your studies. S2S peer support is a great way to talk about anything thats going on though, and I am always interested in meeting for a tea or coffee and a chat!

Luiza Maddalozzo - Peer Supporter

Luiza Maddalozzo

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Heya! My name is Luiza, I'm Brazilian and I'm a final year English Literature and Theatre student. I have been living abroad for about 9 years, first in Austria and now here in Ireland. I spend most of my time in college running between the Global Room and the Arts Block, and I definitely spend way too much time on Netflix. I became involved because I think we all need support at some stage in our lives and I'd love to be able to offer that support to fellow students.

Matthew Moore - Peer Supporter

Matthew Moore

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, my name is Matthew! I'm a 4th year Law and Business student. Alongside being a student, I'm also a husband; daddy to 2 boys (the eldest was born on my first day of college!); ex-bankrupt; proud peacekeeper to 3 cats and 1 dog; yoyo dieter; retired raver; and a petrol head. I understand some of the challenges students can face in college, be they young or older. I became a Peer Supporter as I would like to provide a safe place for my peers to speak about absolutely anything that is on their mind. Please do get in contact if you would like to meet for a chat.

Daniel O'Flynn - Peer Supporter

Daniel O'Flynn

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi, I'm Dan, and my friends tell me I'm nice. I'm a Tipp man in second year of science. Some of my past-times include going to the gym, heading to the cinema, being really awkward towards servers in restauraunts, and questioning what I'm doing with my life. When I'm not in college I'm hanging with my dog back in Tipp (she has a great sense of humor). I'm a bit of a caffeine addict at times so if you ever want to meet up with me over a coffee and chat about anything that's on your mind I'm your man!

Sophie Remidianakis - Peer Supporter

Hello, I'm Sophie, a 4th year Philosophy student. I love animals, Harry Potter, crazy lipstick shades and cheese-related puns. I don't give edam about your favourite type of cheese, they're all gouda. Until I manage to cuddle over 1,000 dogs, my biggest achievement to date is being buried in a pile of teddies for a short promotional video. In the words of Friends, I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to fall. My ears are always open for a chat about what's going on in your life, so I'm very much looking forward to meeting you.

Britta Thiemt - Peer Supporter

Britta Thiemt

Peer Supporter

Mail: student2student@tcd.ie

Hi there, my name is Britta and I am a 3rd year Psychology and Sociology student.* I love a good novel that draws you in so much that you forget about all your assignments and facebook messages, listening to indie/alternative/acoustic music, making a fool out of myself on the dance floor, and very very long sentences. I have experienced being an international student, moving abroad and some of the challenges that come with that, but also other experiences with mental health issues and college problems such as academic pressures. So if you feel like any of that or anything else really is something you would like to have a chat about, do reach out to S2S. I can appreciate myself how powerful it is just being able to rant to someone no matter what it is about and them just supportively listening, so I'd definitely recommend treating yourself to that experience.
*Don't worry, that doesn't mean that I can or will try to read your mind, or will respond to anything with "xxx is really just a social construct".
